Open the Gate

There has been a lot of interest in the jazz records 1973-1990 post.

The post was not intended to be definitive--Ethan has only heard a few of the many records made in that era. Some want to contribute more records to the list, which is great.

Send your selections to even_more_records@yahoo.com before September 5th (note_underscores). Be sure to say "anonymous" somewhere in your email if you don't want your name to appear on Do The Math, otherwise we will out you. If you can, include the year recorded and a sentence or two describing the disc (not required). If you have blogged about this topic and want to be linked, email the same address with the relevant permalink.

Major props to Jeffrey Beebe, who has pointed out that Dewey Redman played alto saxophone not just on The Ear of the Behearer but also on "Gypsy Moth" from Keith Jarrett's El Jucio. Nice catch, J. B.!
